A 60th Anniversary Celebration Weekend
Performance April 24 • 60th Anniversary Benefit Gala April 25 • Alumni Brunch April 26
“When young people talk about excellence today, they use the word GOAT — the greatest of all time,” says Jennifer Catazaro Hayward, Executive Artistic Director of Canton Ballet. “In the case of Canton Ballet, greatness is not the work of one person or one era. It’s been built over time through the dedication of generations of artists, families, patrons, donors, and supporters. This 60th anniversary celebration honors all of them.”
Canton Ballet will celebrate its 60th anniversary in April 2026 with The Greatest of All Time (GOAT), a specially curated performance and celebration weekend honoring six decades of artistic excellence, leadership, and community support.

The program will be presented as a performance-only evening on Friday, April 24, 2026, and as the Ballet’s official 60th Anniversary Benefit Gala on Saturday, April 25, 2026, which includes a VIP reception, performance, and post-show celebration. Tickets for both evenings are available at cantonballet.com.
The Greatest of All Time highlights iconic works from across Canton Ballet’s history while honoring the organization’s foundational leadership, including co-founder Suanne Ferguson and founding Board President, the late Jane Bingham Fawcett, whose decades of volunteer service helped establish the Ballet’s enduring presence in Northeast Ohio.
The program also acknowledges former Artistic Directors John Begg and John Wilkins, who introduced full-length ballets to Stark County audiences, and Artistic Director Emeritus Cassandra Crowley, whose four-decade tenure expanded the Ballet’s repertoire through classical, modern, and contemporary works.
At its core, The Greatest of All Time honors the dancers — past and present — whose artistry and dedication shaped Canton Ballet’s identity across generations.
Thoughtfully curated by Executive Artistic Director Jennifer Catazaro Hayward, the performance invites audiences to celebrate the legacy built by artists, families, patrons, donors, volunteers, and supporters over sixty years.
