CANTON, OH – Canton Ballet is excited to announce that Fall Enrollment for its diverse range of dance classes is now officially open online at cantonballet.com. Beginning the week of September 3, 2025, the School of Canton Ballet will welcome students of all ages and skill levels, offering a personalized and enriching experience for every dancer, including new Ballroom classes. All age requirements for classes are determined as of August 1, 2025.
“Whether a student is just embarking on their dance journey or seeking to elevate their skills and artistry, Canton Ballet’s experienced instructors are committed to nurturing progress at every stage,” said Canton Ballet Director Jennifer Catazaro Hayward.
This fall, Canton Ballet is thrilled to continue its popular collaboration: Dancing Through the Canvas: Rhythm & Nature Adventure! Due to its success over the summer, this free, six-week ballet and art series returns, inspired by the Canton Museum of Art’s “En Plein Air” exhibit. It invites children aged 4-6 and 7-9 to immerse themselves in the beauty of outdoor painting through movement and art. Running from October 14 to November 18, students will engage in dance instruction aligned with Ohio Fine Art Standards, encouraging them to explore how nature moves and flows. They will then experiment with various art mediums to create their own masterpieces.
Dancing Through the Canvas promises to be a wonderful opportunity for children to explore movement, foster creativity, and connect with art in a vibrant, hands-on way. This special program runs on Tuesday mornings, offering a perfect daytime opportunity for homeschoolers and alternative learning students. The schedule rotates to allow both age groups to experience each activity:
- 10:00 – 10:45 am: Ballet for 4-6 year olds / Art for 7-9 year olds
- 15 min Break
- 11:00 – 11:45 am: Ballet for 7-9 year olds / Art for 4-6 year olds
